About the Artist/Teacher
I love the art of painting on glazed surfaces of all kind. I began china painting in 1977 while living in Scotland. Over the years I have had the opportunity to study with many different teachers, learning many different styles and techniques. I gradually branched out to my own business as a custom china painter and a teacher of china painting. I continue to take advantage of Porcelain art Schools and seminars. There always seems to be something new and exciting. I have lived overseas and traveled extensively throughout most the world. This has had a strong influence on my favorite things to paint. I enjoy working with my clients and seeing their ideas come alive on a permanent surface. The thing that is most important to me is that each and every client is happy with my work. I believe my art form is a luxury not a necessity. My clients’ satisfaction and the delivering their purchase, on time, are of utmost importance to me. As a Teacher I encourage my students to develop their own creativity and style, while teaching the mechanics of china painting.
